Patent Engineer (m/f/d)

At the Regensburg office with a Bachelor's degree (university/university of applied sciences), preferably in the fields of mechanical engineering, physics, electrical engineering or chemistry.

You have a high level of commitment, creative drive and comprehensive training as a patent attorney, and also wish to be involved in direct client support.

Your tasks will include helping to obtain and enforce intellectual property rights and assisting with the drafting of patent applications. Self-motivation, reliable, structured and flexible work as well as a good command of English are required for this position. In addition, we expect an excellent understanding of technical issues and the ability to present these issues in precise language.

These tasks await you with us:

• Participation in obtaining and enforcing intellectual property rights in the field of industrial property rights (patents, trademarks, designs, etc.);
• You will work as a link between the development departments of our clients and national and international patent offices;
• Carrying out patent searches using databases;
• Drafting national and international patent applications using your knowledge of various fields of technology;
• Discussions with our clients on their individual strategic advice;
• Correspondence with foreign colleagues in the international arena.

These are your qualifications:

• You have at least a Bachelor's degree in the field of engineering (physics, mechanical engineering, chemistry, electrical engineering);
• You are characterized by your multidisciplinary technical understanding and your broad knowledge in the field of engineering sciences;
• You have a motivated and independent way of working;
• You are fluent in written and spoken German and English;
• A precise, structured and solution-oriented approach as well as creative thinking round off your profile.
